Irwin, Rutledge to Attend Special Ann Arbor School Board Meeting on May 6

Board will discuss impact of proposed state cuts, hear from residents

ANN ARBOR - State Representatives Jeff Irwin (D-Ann Arbor) and David Rutledge (D-Ypsilanti) will attend a special education roundtable hosted by the Ann Arbor School Board at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6.

The board will make a presentation about proposed drastic state funding cuts and then hear testimony from local residents about the impact they will have on our schools, our children and our economy.

State Senator Rebekah Warren (D-Ann Arbor) will also attend, and local Republican legislators and Gov. Snyder have also been invited.

The meeting will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pioneer High School, 601 W. Stadium Boulevard in Ann Arbor.
