LANSING – State Representative Mark Meadows (D-East Lansing) today announced that Carrie Burgess, Matthew Sowle, Nathan Moore and Alexis Omer are the winners of the 69th District Citizenship Award for January. The monthly award is given to high school students who attend Haslett, East Lansing, Okemos and Williamston high schools and who exhibit strong leadership within their schools and in their communities.
In addition to recognizing the students' achievements, the award provides a $100 donation to the district's Education Foundation in the name of the honoree.
